A winter storm consisting of freezing temperatures and strong winds descended upon the Northwest December 7 through 13. As a result of the plummeting mercury the pipes in many homes froze and ultimately broke causing water damages to interior walls, floors and contents. Additionally, the powerful winds downed trees and tree limbs on to homes damaging roofs both structurally and cosmetically. The areas of concentrated damages are primarily as follows: Idaho – Canyon and Ada; Oregon – Columbia, Washington, Multnomah, Yamhill, Clackamas, Marion, Lincoln, Linn, Lane, Deschutes, Douglas, Josephine and Jackson; and Washington – Snohomish, King, Pierce, Thurston and Clark.
