Southeast hit again with harsh weather

A storm system swept through the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina March 12 and March 13, 2010. The strong winds and rain, as well as small pockets of hail resulted in damages to roofs, fences, decks, siding, downed trees and tree limbs on to power lines and buildings and interior water damages due to leaking roofs and sewer back-up. At this time, most of the claims are coming form Alabama and Georgia and are concentrated in the Alabama county of DeKalb and the Georgia county of Fulton. A minimal amount of claims are coming from North Carolina and South Carolina at this time.
Strong storm leaves behind damage in Southeastern U.S.

Strong storms impacted the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina from March 10 through March 11, 2010. The strong winds and rain resulted in damages to roofs, fences, decks, siding, downed trees and tree limbs on to power lines and buildings and interior water damages due to leaking roofs and sewer back-up. At this time, most of the claims are coming form Alabama and Georgia and are concentrated in the Alabama counties of Shelby and Jefferson and scattered throughout Georgia. A minimal amount of claims are coming from North Carolina and South Carolina at this time.
Strong winds and rain push through the Southeastern States

Strong storms pushed through the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina from January 20 to 21, 2010. The strong winds and rain resulted in damages to roofs, fences, decks, siding, downed trees and tree limbs on to power lines and buildings and interior water damages due to leaking roofs and sewer back-up. At this time, most of the claims are concentrated in the Alabama counties of Madison, Mobile and Houston and the Georgia county of Gwinnett.
Southeastern US hit with strong storm system

A storm front consisting of strong winds moved across the Southeastern U.S. on January 24 and January 25, 2010. Claims are widespread across Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina; however, currently most of the claims are concentrated in the Georgia counties of Gwinnett and DeKalb and the North Carolina counties of Mecklenburg and Forsyth. Consequently, properties throughout these states were damaged by strong winds, blowing debris, downed trees and tree limbs, as well as roof leaks and sewer back up.
Brutal artic blast results in freeze damages in the Southeastern US

Long-term frigid temperatures, snow and ice that have impacted the Southeastern US beginning January 3 through January 11, 2010. This brutal arctic blast has resulted in widespread freeze damages. Additionally, ice encrusted trees and tree limbs have fallen on to roofs, decks and fences. At this time, most of the claims are concentrated in the Georgia counties of Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb and Clayton.
Storm System Impacts State

The storm that impacted Texas and the southern states moved into the southeast states of Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas bringing with it strong winds, heavy rains and cold temperatures. The counties primarily impacted in Alabama are Jefferson, Madison, Jackson and Limestone; in Georgia the counties chiefly impacted include Murray, Gilmer, Gwinnett, Fulton, Pickens, Cobb, Catoosa, Union and Bartow; in South Carolina the counties reporting the most damages are Richland, Lexington and Greenville; and in North Carolina loss reports are primarily flowing in from the counties of Buncombe, Watauga, Ashe and Mecklenburg. Loss reports indicate that damages are mostly the result of water in homes, damaged roofs, downed fences and damages due to falling trees and tree limbs.
Long line of storms impact the Southeast

The same winter storm that brought a blizzard and snow to the Northeast has spawned severe storms across the Southeast from December 8 through December 9, 2009. A long line of strong thunderstorms, with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes, swept eastward across the Southeast. These storms produced gusty winds, frequent lightning and downpours. At this time, most of the claims are concentrated in Alabama and Georgia, specifically the Alabama county of Jefferson and scattered throughout Georgia.
Southeastern US hit with strong storms

A strong line of storms moved across the Southeastern US from December 1 through December 3, 2009. This storm consisted of straight-line winds and heavy rain. The losses are primarily the result of the strong winds and heavy rain, which damaged roofs, and siding and also downed trees and tree limbs onto homes; however, there were a few reports of heavy damage. At this time, most of the claims are concentrated in Georgia counties of DeKalb and Fulton, specifically the city of Atlanta.
