Small business owner saved $720 a year with Allstate
Jeremy B. grew up in Montana and has lived in Bozeman for three years. He’s an avid fisherman, hiker, mountain biker and rock climber. “I’m a mountain man — an outdoorsy-type.”
When you’re starting a company out, you’ve really got to dig down and save as much money as
you can.
A few years back, he started his own interior finish carpentry business. “I decided if I ever moved back to Montana I’d just work for myself, just keep it super simple.” That’s why he started his own company.
Jeremy scoured his budget in search of ways to save. “When you’re starting a company out, you’ve really got to dig down and save as much money as you can,” he says. “I went through my auto insurance, my cell phone bills, everything I could find to pinch the little pennies.”

Jeremy’s extra savings meant he didn’t borrow to buy a nice engagement ring for his fiancé.
Found money at allstate.com
Then he went to Allstate.com for an auto insurance quote. “I saved $720 a year by switching — that’s 60 bucks a month to put away.”
“Every little bit goes into my savings account, and it can add up to a lot in the end.”
In fact, Jeremy just proposed to his girlfriend, and the money he saved helped to pay for her ring. “For me, that extra money meant that I didn’t have to go into debt to buy a nice engagement ring.”
“I can thank Allstate for that.”

Father of three saved $400 a year by switching to Allstate

Edward didn’t give up anything for a better price. In fact, he got better coverage for less money.
Edward N., plant technician, father of three and a semi-pro baseball player, had a tough year. After struggling with his finances, he was forced to foreclose on his house, and move his wife and three boys, ages 7–15, to a new town.
“We just couldn’t afford the mortgage. Financially we’ve been doing it for so many years, just struggling and struggling and just had had enough.”
After the move, Edward took a tough look at his spending, and the very first place he started was his auto insurance. “I grabbed the phone, went online, started calling for quotes, and I got to Allstate.”
Within 24 hours, Edward had switched, saving his family $400 a year.
Better coverage for less money
With Allstate’s safe-driving discounts, Edward was able to see the benefit of his commercial license, defensive-driving courses and perfect driving record reflected in his premium. So he never felt as if he were giving anything up by switching. In fact, he’s currently looking forward to his first Safe Driving Bonus check*.
Financially we’ve been just struggling and struggling and just had enough.
“I don’t think there’s another insurance company that’s offering what Allstate is and what Allstate does — we received better coverage for less money.”
All the money Edward saved goes straight back to his family. “You know, my family, they’re the most important thing in the world, and Allstate treated them as such.”
“I know my family’s covered, and I don’t have to worry about them as far as insurance and safety. I can’t see really any reason right now for us to ever leave Allstate.”

Accident forgiven
Tina is a retail merchandiser outside of Atlanta who drives to different store locations daily. When she’s not working on her garden, she loves to drive. “I will drive anywhere. I put 30,000 miles a year on my car!”

Tina had the worst luck with her brand new car — she got in an accident weeks after she bought it.
A few months ago, after months of researching safety, performance and features, Tina and her husband bought their first brand-new car. “It’s our only new car and we will probably never invest like that again.”
Just a few weeks later, she was the first car in a seven-vehicle pile-up. “I’ve heard those horror stories where somebody purchases a brand new car and then shortly after they purchase it they’re in an accident,” she says. “That’s exactly what happened to me!”
Repairs with no hassle
Tina didn’t call the police — the first person she called was her Allstate agent, Tom. “My Allstate agent is like family to me. Tom has been with me through thick and thin.”
In no time, with no trouble, she had a rental car and her new car was being repaired. “They sent me to go have the adjuster look and see the damage, and he wrote out a check immediately. I never had to call Allstate. He just took care of it for me.”
It was like I never had an accident at all.
And thanks to Allstate’s Your Choice Auto® Accident Forgiveness, her rates didn’t go up. “I had total confidence that number one, my car was going to get fixed, my rates were not going to go higher,” Tina says.
“And it was like I never had an accident at all.”

After-hours accident taken care of in one call
Maryrose is an occupational therapist in New Jersey, where she says safe driving is a challenge. “Everyone speeds. Everyone drives crazy. But I haven’t really had that many accidents—until this one.”
They said just have it towed, and we’ll take care of the rest.
It wasn’t speeding that caused Maryrose’s accident — it was her tennis shoes. When one of the laces looped around her gas pedal, she was unable to brake, and slid right into the car in front of her.
“Her car looked fine. My car looked like it hit a brick wall, not a sedan. The whole front end was crumbled.”
Because her accident happened at night, Maryrose called the Allstate 800-number rather than her agent. “And they said just have it towed and we’ll take care of the rest.”

It wasn’t speeding that caused Maryrose’s accident — it was her tennis shoes.
Convenience, forgiveness and savings
That’s exactly what happened. Maryrose had her car towed to the body shop she wanted, which had an adjuster on-site. Several weeks later (during which she drove a rental car, covered under her policy, while the body shop had parts shipped in) her car was as good as new.
Thanks to Your Choice Auto® Deductible Rewards and Accident Forgiveness, Maryrose saved $100 on her deductible and her rates didn’t go up because of her accident. “And my rates didn’t change at all afterwards, which was great.”
Along with the $200 a year she saved for switching to Allstate in the first place, Maryrose is recommending Allstate to all of her friends.
“I love Allstate. I tell everybody to go with Allstate.”

Single driver saved $500 per year by switching to Allstate
In 2005, Diane B., a single woman with two cars, decided to switch her auto insurance to Allstate, where she already had her homeowner’s insurance.
“The economy being the way it is, I mean, you’re trying to cut back and save as much as you can and in the area that you can. So for me, being a single person, you know, one salary household, of course I had to cut back where I deemed necessary.”
Some people don’t miss the money. I miss mine! I count every dime.
She was also concerned about whether or not her smaller insurance company provided full coverage.
“What if, God forbid, I did get into a bad accident or something? Would they be able to pay out as quickly as a reputable, more reputable company almost?”
Full coverage at a better price
Diane saved $500 a year by switching.
“I find that different insurance companies, the rates are higher for singles, depending on the age bracket that you’re in and the type of vehicles that you have.”
“I feel great,” she adds. “Some people don’t miss the money. I miss mine! I count every dime.”
She also worries less about being in an accident.
“In the event that something happens, and I have to use it, at least I know it’s there. I believe that Allstate just provides better coverage.”
